BEFORE
THE
TATTOO

The knowledge and experience of the tattoo artist are the main, but not the only, elements of working on a tattoo. The final result is the result of collaboration with the client. It is you, through physical and mental preparation for the session, as well as proper care during the initial healing period of the tattoo, that determine its success.

BEFORE
THE
TATTOO

AVOID SUNLIGHT!

For at least a week before the session, do not tan the area where your tattoo is supposed to be done. If the skin is tanned, we will not be able to do the tattoo.

KEEP THE TATTOOED AREA MOISTURIZED AND USE PEELING!

At least 7 days before the session, you can moisturize the area where the tattoo will be done, but do not use any creams or lotions 24 hours before the session.

3 days before getting the tattoo, you can do a gentle exfoliation of the area where the tattoo will be done. This will help remove any unnecessary dead skin.

DO NOT ABUSE ALCOHOL

Restrain yourself from drinking alcohol and using other substances at least 3 days before the session. During the tattooing process, it's crucial for you to be well-rested. This will make our work easier and ensure that the tattoo healing process goes smoothly and without issues.

DO NOT SHAVE THE AREA UNDER THE TATTOO!

Right before the session, do not remove hair by yourself in the area where the tattoo is going to be done. We will take care of it :)

GET A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP AND HAVE A PROPER BREAKFAST IN THE DAY OF YOUR TATTOO!

A well-rested and refreshed body is often more resilient to the stress experienced during tattooing. Of course, this translates to experiencing less pain!

A good, nutritious breakfast will provide you with a decent energy boost and also restore the proper level of blood sugar. This will help prevent any potential weaknesses and greatly improve comfort during the session. If your appointment with the tattoo artist is scheduled for the afternoon hours, don't forget about a substantial lunch :D

BRING PAIN-RELIEVING TABLETS WITH YOU!

If needed on the day of the session, before starting the tattooing process, you may take pain-relieving tablets. The decision to take them and the choice of which ones to take are entirely up to you. Tattoo artists at TATTOO.PL are not authorized to provide them to you.

DON’T BRING ALONG ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND LEAVE PETS AT HOME!

It's known that companions can provide support in various situations, and often you want to share special moments with them. However, when it comes to getting a tattoo, it's best to limit their presence to a minimum. Too many guests can disrupt the studio's work, and their behaviour can sometimes cause additional stress for you.

The TATTOO.PL team truly loves animals, but for sanitary reasons, your pets cannot be present in places like tattoo studios.

RESERVE MORE TIME FOR YOURSELF ON THAT DAY!

On the day of your session, try not to schedule any other appointments. Working under time pressure doesn't bode well for the tattoo artist or the comfort of both parties. The tattooing process is often difficult to estimate in terms of the number of minutes or hours needed to complete the design.

DRESS APPROPRIATELY!

Pay attention to what you're wearing, considering the area of your body that will be tattooed. It's most important for the tattoo artist to have easy access to it, while you feel comfortable and unrestricted.

Avoid wearing light-colored clothing, as it can easily get stained. Of course, you'll be able to change into suitable clothes on-site.
