THE DAY
OF A
SESSION

On the day of an appointment we meet at the designated time at the Tattoo.pl studio located at 11 Długa Street in Poznań. Ada and Jacek are hoping you’d be there on time. They will take care of you from the moment you enter, store your outerwear, offer you something to drink, and inform the tattoo artist of your arrival.

THE DAY
OF A
SESSION

IF NECESSARY, WE WILL MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO THE CHOSEN DESIGN

After your arrival, the tattoo artist will approach you with a design that has been prepared according to the previous consultations either in the studio or online. If during the discussion you feel that it needs adjustments, the tattoo artist will certainly make the necessary changes to your design.

DO YOU NEED A MOMENT FOR YOURSELF?

After approving the corrected design and determining the size of the tattoo, you will have a moment to yourselves, which you can use to go to the store for snacks or use the restroom. During this time, the tattoo artist will carry out the final preparatory tasks for the session, such as preparing the stencil or setting up the workstation.

DISINFECTION AND SHAVING

  • We must disinfect the tattooed area thoroughly as the skin harbors many viruses and bacteria that could enter the open wound and infect your body. Then, using a single-use razor, we will remove any unnecessary hair, which not only obstructs the needles from properly depositing pigment into the skin but can also cause issues during the tattoo healing process.

APPLYING THE STENCIL TO THE BODY

Applying the design to the prepared skin sometimes requires a longer moment. Often, we need to take into account the body's proportions as well as factors arising from lifestyle or work. Typically, we do this using specialized transfer paper or markers designed for this purpose, which allow us to outline the design on the skin. Remember that this is the last moment to raise any concerns!

FAMILIARIZING YOURSELF WITH THE TOOLS AND STAGES OF TATTOOING

  • Your few minutes of waiting for the design to dry can be a great opportunity for the tattoo artist to familiarize you with the tools they will be using and explain the further process of work. Tattooing is typically divided into three stages. The first involves outlining along the transferred lines of the design, then all black elements and shadows are applied, and only as the last step do colors appear, usually from the darkest to the lightest.
