WHY DOES TATTOO FADE?

OVER TIME, MACROPHAGES DIE, RELEASING THE INK, WHICH IS INDEED ABSORBED BY NEW IMMUNE CELLS, BUT DURING THIS PROCESS, SOME OF THE INK IS RELEASED AND EXPELLED FROM THE BODY.

TATTOO AND SKIN

The natural aging process of the skin is observed as the fading and loss of intensity of the tattoo.

The effect of color distortion is particularly noticeable in tattoos exposed to the sun! The skin, in defence against harmful radiation, produces a protective layer of melanocytes, commonly known as a tan. Unfortunately, the protective layer between the outer layer of the skin and its deeper parts, where the ink is located, causes the colors to change, and the tattoo appears faded.
